Tech Welcomes Over 5,300 New Students

Georgia Tech continues to expand student access.
The Common Application is now open for prospective first-year students to submit their applications. Meanwhile, the Office of Undergraduate Admission kicks off recruitment season with the Peach State Tour and other efforts around the state.
The Trott Family Philanthropies is doubling its investment in rural student outreach by adding Georgia Tech and 15 other universities to the Small Town and Rural Students (STARS) College Network. STARS provides comprehensive programming and support for rural high school students across the nation to pursue opportunities in higher education.
In total, over 8,200 were admitted as first-year students this year, with Tech aiming to enroll 3,900 first-year students across Summer and Fall 2024.
The enrollment deposit deadline for incoming first-year Georgia students is now May 15. The deadline for non-Georgia students remains May 1.

Applications for Summer and Fall 2024 tour guides will close at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024.
Admitted students join those accepted in December during Early Action 1, an application pool reserved for Georgia students.
In early December, Georgia Tech accepted over 2,600 students from 111 different counties. The first student admitted, however, was from an unexpected locale – Twiggs County – where in many years no student applied, and no other applicant had been admitted since 2000.
Friday, Dec. 8, brought decision release for nearly 7,000 Early Action 1 applicants, with the Office of Undergraduate Admission personally delivering acceptance letters to students across the state.
