New students wear their RAT caps at new student convocation

Mary Tipton Woolley joined Tech in 2009 as associate director of Undergraduate Admission. She then served as the senior associate director and interim executive director before rising to the executive director position in March 2025. With over 25 years of undergraduate admission experience, Woolley has played an instrumental role in advancing the Undergraduate Admission office.

  • Over 5,400 Undergraduates Join Georgia Tech
    Georgia Tech welcomed approximately 4,050 summer and fall first-year students, and 1,365 spring, summer, and fall transfer students to campus this year. The 5,365 new undergraduate students bring Tech’s total undergraduate population to over 20,000.
  • Final Decision Release Completes Fall 2025 First-Year Class
    Across the Regular Decision and Early Action applicant groups, almost 67,000 students applied for admission into Tech’s Fall 2025 first-year class, with more than 8,500 receiving admission offers. Overall, the Fall 2025 admit rate for Georgia residents is 30%; it is 9% for nonresidents.
  • Over 3,600 Georgians Admitted to Georgia Tech’s 2025 First-Year Class
    On March 7 at 7 p.m., Georgia Tech admitted 1,048 Georgia students in the Regular Decision 1 round of undergraduate admission decisions. These students join those already admitted during the Georgia students-only Early Action 1 phase, making for a total of 3,666 Georgia admitted students for Tech’s 2025 first-year class.
