Mary Tipton Woolley joined Tech in 2009 as associate director of Undergraduate Admission. She then served as the senior associate director and interim executive director before rising to the executive director position in March 2025. With over 25 years of undergraduate admission experience, Woolley has played an instrumental role in advancing the Undergraduate Admission office.

- Georgia Tech Admits 2,640 Georgia Students to the 2026 First-Year Class
On Friday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m., first-year admission decisions were delivered to approximately 8,700 students who applied in Georgia Tech’s Early Action 1 admission round, an application phase specifically designated for Georgia students. From this pool, 2,640 were offered admission to the 2026 first-year class. - Over 5,400 Undergraduates Join Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech welcomed approximately 4,050 summer and fall first-year students, and 1,365 spring, summer, and fall transfer students to campus this year. The 5,415 new undergraduate students bring Tech’s total undergraduate population to over 20,000. - Final Decision Release Completes Fall 2025 First-Year Class
Across the Regular Decision and Early Action applicant groups, almost 67,000 students applied for admission into Tech’s Fall 2025 first-year class, with more than 8,500 receiving admission offers. Overall, the Fall 2025 admit rate for Georgia residents is 30%; it is 9% for nonresidents.
