At 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, Georgia Tech’s Office of Undergraduate Admission released decisions for 37,300 students in the Early Action 2 applicant pool.
Admission was offered to 3,149 students. Admitted students hail from 49 states outside Georgia, 71 countries, and 1,825 high schools. The acceptance rate for this round was 8%.
Early Action 2 applications increased by 3% this year compared to last year. It also represents the largest applicant group, accounting for 55% of the almost 68,000 applications for first-year entry in Fall 2026.
Admitted students during this Early Action 2 phase join the 2,640 Georgia students admitted during Early Action 1 in December 2025.
“As we admit this class of students, we thank our campus community for continuing the work to successfully recruit them to the Institute,” said Mary Tipton Woolley, executive director of Undergraduate Admission. “In the weeks and months ahead, I encourage you to join us in helping these students find their place at Tech.”
Campus visit events and outreach opportunities are already in progress for all admitted students, with additional information available on the campus visit page.
The final applicant group (deferred students and Regular Decision applicants) will receive their decisions in March.
